China Glaze - Get Carried Away

Another polish from China Glaze's Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away collection; Get Carried Away. Yep, it's another glittery one!

Unlike Whirled Away, Get Carried Away can be used alone, or you can layer it over another polish.

Get Carried Away is a sheer black base that's packed full of glitter - large silver & red hexagonal glitter mixed with small silver glitter, small black glitter & black bar glitter. It's a glitter-fanatic's dream.

I found that the red glitter leans more to the coppery side, rather than being a bright, vivid, true red. The least obvious of the glitters in here would be the black bar glitter, it's barely noticeable with a couple of coats.

I applied three coats of Get Carried Away for the swatches, as the sheer base requires more coats than an opaque polish. Yes, it's a little on the thick side, but with this much glitter in, it won't be the thinnest polish around.
It applied easily, and plenty of glitter came out on the brush. It dries quickly, but it looks rather dull without a top coat.

Get Carried Away also looks good layered over a black creme polish, but you'll lose sight of the bar glitter if it's used that way.

I do wish that the red glitter was a brighter red, but that's my only real complaint about Get Carried Away. If glittery polishes really aren't your thing, this particular polish won't do anything at all for you. I wouldn't class this as a must-have polish, but it's a fun little bottle of glittery goodness that's nice to have for a change from normal black nails.
