From HITS No Olimpo collection,
Zeus is a charcoal base loaded with holographic shimmer. As with the other
two shades I've tried from the collection, Zeus is a linear holo, rather than a sparkle.

Upon application, the first coat looks to be quite sheer. Add a second coat and Zeus starts to look deeper with a better holo effect. For a spectacular deepness & holo that absolutely pops, three coats is the charm.

The pictures show three coats of Zeus with a top coat. Despite the fact that it wasn't an overly sunny day, the holo still pops in the outside shot.

As far as application goes, Zeus goes on smoothly: no dragging or skipping at all. Even without a top coat, Zeus is a very shiny polish, you could probably skip the top coat altogether, should you wish.

The pictures with flash show Zeus to be a little darker than it actually is, the base shade is pretty much what you see in the shots taken outside. Definitely not black, and, unlike OPI'S My Private Jet, there are no brown tones to Zeus. If you were at all disappointed with My Private Jet because of the brown tinge (I was a little, I ended up using it over a black creme to reduce the amount of brown), then Zeus will be right up your alley.
I almost bought the OPI My Private Jet today, glad I read this thought it was more black. Love this color amazing=)
ReplyDeleteMy Private Jet is pretty, but not black enough for my liking. Even layering it over a black creme doesn't turn it into the perfect black holo.
DeleteZeus is a great dark holo. Between the HITS & the Glitter Gal shades, I don't use my China Glaze holo's much anymore.
