HITS Nail Polish - Hera & Atena

In my ever-going quest to find great holo polishes in fab colours, I came across the HITS nail polishes and, in particular, the No Olimpo collection.

As with the Glitter Gal 3D/Holo polishes, the No Olimpo colours are a linear holographic, not a sparkle holographic. As far as the colours are concerned, the two that caught my eye are Hera, teal, and Atena, hot pink.
Hera
Compared with the likes of China Glaze's DV8 & Techno Teal, HITS' Hera is the outright winner for me on several bases. Both DV8 & Techno Teal have less of a green tone to them. DV8 is the linear holo of the two & the rainbow effect is more apparent than that of Techno Teal. However, both pale in comparison to Hera. This is full-on holo goodness.
Hera wins hands-down in the application stakes too; no dragging, skipping or pulling at all. Two to three coats gives you the best effect.

Now on to the gorgeous Atena.

Atena

I've been searching for a "proper" hot pink holo for a while now; most of the pink holos I've happened across are either too purple toned, too raspberry pink, too light or just plain lacking in the holo department. Atena, whilst not being absolutely neon pink, is very much close to my perfect pink holo. Bright, with no overwhelming purple tones & the holo is the perfect vivid linear holo effect.
As with Hera, this applied like a dream & takes two or three coats to achieve perfect holo pink nails.

HITS No Olimpo holographic polishes are, for me, up there with the Glitter Gal range. I'll definitely be looking in to more of the colours they offer.

  1. I just ordered the teal today and can't wait for it to come, I saw the Hits polishes and love them all. Glad I found your review was wanting to see how someone who owned it liked it. I have yet to find a holographic I like the Layla ones are not worth the money a chip. I would love for you to follow my blog, it is new and just starting out. I am going to follow yours.

    1. They're really good polishes, Melissa. I prefer them to the China Glaze holos, they're easier to apply & look much nicer.
