Urban Decay - 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Perversion

I've been playing around with this for a couple of weeks now. I love liquid liners, especially ones that stay put. As far as the 24/7 Liquid Liner goes, it's comparable to MAC's Superslick Liquid Eye Liner & Illamasqua's Precision Ink. All three are waterproof & when removed, they flake off rather than smearing all over the place (a huge reason why I like these kind of liners). Wear-time is great with these type of liners, they stay put all day until you remove them. I haven't noticed any flaking or peeling with them.

Nails - Shades of Grey

Yesterday's nails & I managed to leave the neon & animal print alone for once. My matte topcoat was looking neglected, so I decided to experiment a little. I usually use it over dark, shimmery polishes, so I decided to try it with something lighter.

80's Nails Part 2 - Neon Wild Cat

Yes, I'm back on my 80's nail kick. There's just something about neon polish & animal print combos that I can't seem to stay away from. Could be my love of hair metal is the root of the problem. :)

Anyway, this one is a very vivid combo of orange & yellow, two shades I don't usually go for much but it worked well for this particular mani.

A little messy there but it doesn't look so bad after I cleaned it up a little. Should have done that before I took pics.

For the Neon Wild Cat look I used -

• Essie - Funky Limelight
• China Glaze - Sun Worshipper
• Konad plate M69
• Special Polish in black

As bright as this may look in the pictures, it's tame compared to how vivid it is in reality. Neon is definitely the best way to describe it.

Urban Decay - 15th Anniversary Palette

I'd been eyeing this one online for a while. I'm still not sure what won me over the most - the gorgeous packaging or the colours inside, maybe a combination of both.

All 15 shades are brand new and this palette manages to cover all the bases, pretty much. This one palette contains colours that go from neutral to bright to smoky.

This picture really doesn't do the shadows justice, the bad lighting in my house washed them out quite a bit.

As far as textures go, there's only the one matte shadow here - Blackout (a great, really deep black). Some Urban Decay shadows have a lot of glitter in them & as a result can cause the dreaded glitter-ball effect on your face. There's only one shadow inside the 15th Anniversary palette that does this - Midnight Rodeo.

Zoya - Smoke & Mirrors Haul

I'm a sucker for deeper polish colours & although I love my glitter & shimmery shades, I'm also partial to cream finishes too.

The Smoke collection is all about the creams, I chose Cynthia, whilst the Mirrors part of the collection is about metallic finishes. Three shades appealed to me, Tao, Jem & Marina.

A cream finish blackened teal shade, Cynthia is deep, dark & shiny. Makes a nice alternative to black nails whilst still being a good, vampy look.

Beauty Bargain - MUA Glitter Ball palette

Another of the MUA palettes, Glitter Ball features a wider variety of colours than Starry Night. You could use this one to achieve neutral, smoky or bright looks. As with Starry Night, this is predominantly a shimmery/glittery palette. 

The top row of shadows features

• Black with silver glitter (think MAC Black Tied)
• Peachy-pink with silver glitter
• Pearly green
• Mid blue pearl 
• Aqua pearl 
• Frosty white

Beauty Bargain - MUA Starry Night Palette

Yet another bargain from the MUA brand at Superdrug!

I've tried a couple of the MUA single shadows & was impressed with the quality, especially considering they were £1 each. When I was in Superdrug last week, I happened across the new MUA palettes. According to the Superdrug site,  there's six different palettes available. In store, I saw three & there wasn't many of those left, so they seem to be selling well.

The Starry Night palette concentrates on colours to use for a smoky eye look. Black, pink, purple, blue, grey, silver & white are the shades in here. They're all shimmery shadows, some more so than others, so if you're not into shimmery shadows you may not be won over by these.
