Of the sixteen new Pro Longwear shadows, I chose six shades.
These are a larger size than regular MAC shadows, they're the same size as a Cream Colour Base, so these should last for ages.
Sweet Satisfaction |
Described as a soft, neutral beige, I find Sweet Satisfaction to have a hint of gold to it. Of the six shades, this was the most shimmery, looking like a frost finish.
Weathered |
Weathered
This hasn't photographed too well. It's labelled as being a dirty blue grey but I found the blue tones to be quite prominent. There's also a slight purple tinge to this one. Not at all overly frosty. Makes for a pretty, slightly more colourful smoky eye.
Although this looks incredibly brown in the picture above, it's a dark grey brown that leans more to the grey side. This is Satin Taupe's less frosty, greyer sister.
Tease With Ease |
Tease With Ease
A bright fuchsia shadow with shimmer. It's Bright Fuchsia pigment's more shimmery, slightly toned-down pressed version.
Plush |
Plush
Gorgeous blue-based purple shadow that isn't overly shimmery. Like a lighter, brighter version of Entremauve pigment.
Legendary Black |
Legendary Black
Not a true black, despite the implication in the name. This is more of a blackened brown with golden shimmer that gives it a golden sheen. Although it isn't a pure black, it's still deep & dark enough to create a smoky eye with.
Sweet Satisfaction, Keep Your Cool, Legendary Black, Weathered, Plush, Tease With Ease |
I've found all six shades apply well. They have good pigmentation & they really blend well. As far as the Pro Longwear part goes, these stayed on for around 12 hours (bear in mind I use a primer underneath all of my shadows). There wasn't any creasing & the colours stayed very vivid up until I took my make-up off. I liked the fact that none of the the shades are hugely shimmery, but they're not flat mattes either.
