Illamasqua - Nail Polish in Poke & Viridian

Two shades of nail polish that kept catching my eye at the Illamasqua counter - Veridian, a metallic peacock green, & Poke, a bright, shimmery violet.

Poke

Stunning, vivid violet purple. Poke has tiny shimmers in silver & teal that show up on the nail, adding to the overall beauty of this shade.

Two coats will give a good, opaque, bottle-perfect shade. To really bring out the shimmer, a good, glossy topcoat is needed.

Viridian

Very metallic finish, Viridian is a complex green. Not out & out teal, but it does have a hint of blue to it. A great dark polish that isn't so dark it'll be mistaken for black.

Viridian

As with Poke, two coats will give you bottle-perfect colour. This is a highly metallic shade that benefits from a glossy topcoat to bring out the beauty of this shade.

Illamasqua polishes apply really well with no skipping or dragging. They also wear well, I'm quite hard on my nails and can get five days to a week's worth of wear before it chips on my fingers. Even longer on toes (I had one Illamasqua shade on my toes for a month before I had to change it!).

A quick mani I did using Viridian -

The pattern was done using the Konad plate M79 & China Glaze's Cherish.
