Beauty Bargain - MUA Glitter Ball palette

Another of the MUA palettes, Glitter Ball features a wider variety of colours than Starry Night. You could use this one to achieve neutral, smoky or bright looks. As with Starry Night, this is predominantly a shimmery/glittery palette.

The top row of shadows features

  • Black with silver glitter (think MAC Black Tied)
  • Peachy-pink with silver glitter
  • Pearly green
  • Mid blue pearl
  • Aqua pearl
  • Frosty white

Top row of shadows

As usual, I swatched these straight on to bare skin, using the shadows dry. It didn't take a whole lot of effort or product to get a strong swatch.
The black shadow looks more glittery in reality but, as with most glitter shadows, it'd look better when used with a damp brush to get the glitter to stay in place.

The second row of shadows -

  • Frosty pink
  • Frosty coppery bronze
  • Pearly taupe with a hint of purple
  • Pearly brown with gold shimmer
  • Frosty silver/grey
  • Frosty purple

Despite looking quite frosty, the taupe & brown shade mix well together for a daytime, toned-down neutral smoky eye that looks stunning with a touch of black liner.

As with the Starry Night palette, this is well worth the £4 that it's priced at. Possibly more so, because it'd be easier to achieve a number of looks from this one palette. The pigmentation & texture are great considering the bargain price, the shadows blend easily & last on the eye for a good while.
The down side to this palette would be for those who prefer a matte/less shimmery shadow. It won't really float your boat.
A good addition to your collection whether you're looking to add more shades, like palettes with an array of colours all in one place or are looking for something cheap to carry around to save sacrificing your more costly shadows.
