MAC - Stylishly Yours pigments.

Three new pigments from MAC with the Stylishly Yours collection. All together, there's four. Violet is part of the permanent line-up, this is just concentrating on the three new shades.

From left to right in the above picture there's Madly Personal, New Fixation and Follow Your Fancy. None of the three colours are as shimmery as most MAC pigments. Follow Your Fancy is the most shimmery, but it's still subtle when compared with some older shades. New Fixation & Madly Personal are more akin to less shimmery Satin finish eyeshadows.

Urban Decay - Naked Palette

Yes, I am a little late in getting this. Still, better late than never.

I'd had my eye on the Naked palette for some time. Santa was kind enough to make sure I got one. I'd read numerous glowing reviews for this and, after a couple of weeks or so of playing with it, I can see why.

It's less of a naked look, there's a fabulous frosty black in there after all, more of a neutral palette. Two shades are matte, and fabulous, blendable, pigmented, soft mattes they are. The rest are shimmery shades. Unlike some of UD's other shadows, none here have the large chunks of glitter that cover your face when applying.

12 shadows all in all, each of a good size, you're definitely getting bang for your buck with this one. The double-ended pencil boasts two shades of 24-7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Zero (black) & Whiskey (dark brown). Also included, but not inside the actual palette, is a mini Primer Potion.

Kat Von D - Adora Lipstick

It's rare that I find myself lusting after a lippie, usually I'm too busy swooning over eye shadows. Adora captured my attention, however. I'm more of a burgundy-lip girl, I feel more comfortable with a darker lip if I'm not doing a nude lip.

Adora is a beautiful, bright, metallic red. It may well be that it was the metallic aspect that drew me to it. As far as the colour goes, it's a much warmer red than I usually wear. That's not to say that it's verging on orange,  it isn't. It's just not a bright, cool-toned red.

So far, I've experimented with a couple of lip-liners in tandem with Adora. Brick & Redd (both by MAC) are the ones I've tried thus far. I preferred the way Brick looked, purely because Redd is a warmer liner & it made Adora warmer still. It did look very pretty, but not for my preferences.
Cherry & Burgundy (MAC, again) are two more that I'm going to try. Cherry because it's cooler toned, Burgundy to darken the overall colour.
